At the ripe old age of 26, this blogger has had tendonitis for five years, and is beginning to develop aches and pains associated with the ladder-climbing and heavy lifting that is inherent to most production work. What's a girl to do?
I should probably invest in a pair of these:

Now, while I do what some might consider to be a more masculine job, and while I am totally down with feminism, I am perhaps (deep down), one of the girliest girls I know. I love the color pink. I like to get my nails painted and my hair did. I enjoy dressing up, and shaving my legs. In short, I like to look like a girl. And it doesn't help me that all of the above items have the sex appeal of Richard Simmons.
For you female technicians out there, here are some items that will reward you with the scorn and contempt of your co-workers, and my deep admiration (however, don't wear all these together, so as to avoid looking like a bottle of Pepto):
Now, as to that all-important back-support:

About Me
- KDubs
- New York, New York, United States
- Tired. Caffeinated. Quietly evil.
I'm a theatre technician, living and working in NYC. Also an aspiring costumer, makeup artist, playwright and dilettante.
I like to rant about things, I swear like a person who swears a lot, and I work too much. Other than that, my time is spent at home with the puppy or in Chelsea bars with friends and co-workers.

Hey, my name is Me. and I have a blog as well. I'm a Californian just out of high school looking to chronicle the path I took to becoming a successful technician (God willing). It's my hope that, after a few years, young people will stumble across my blog and pick up some useful tips.
It's located at:
http://stagecraftjournal.blogspot.com/
I would appreciate it if you would link to my site. I linked to yours, seeing as how you are someone in the industry, a trait I won't have for a good while.
Thanks for reading!
-Me.
